My Bohemian Life…Cycling in the Rockies

Ben and I are training for a 150-mile bike ride to raise money for MS in June 2012…done in 2 days, the ride’s in Colorado wherethere’s definitely an altitude difference from our flat lander life in South Carolina!  To get in shape and deal with the oxygen deprivation, we’re training—did I say big time!  Today our ride was almost 35 miles…my stats?

Average Speed           14.5/mph

Highest Speed           28.2/mph

Time Biking                A little over 2 hours

Calories Burned        LOTS

Of course, we do take breaks to guzzle water, and me, I eat chips for the salt.  Other times we just stop to breathe.  Today we stopped for an unexpected ‘concert’ and entertainment.  This is what Bohemian cooking and living is all about…whether in the kitchen or riding a bike—being adventurous!  Taking time to enjoy and savor whether it’s a bite of cheesecake or a historical road sign.

I tried to shorten this video I made of the band, but these guys (and gal) were just so darn cute and fun and their songs entertaining that I edited/cut some, but, otherwise, decided it’s worth a 3 minute view! You’ll feel like you’re right there with me!   Click to Watch the Show!
